How To Sous Vide?
Ready to dive in to the good stuff? Gear up for the ultimate "How to Sous Vide" guide here with a lovely and juicy piece of steak.
- Preheat your cooker. Start by attaching yoursous vide cookerto the pot you plan on cooking your steak in. Set the desired time and temperature. Don't forget to let the water come to the indicated temperature before putting in your steak.
- Prepare the steak. Season your steak with salt, pepper and any other spices of your choice. Be generous, yet tender.
- Time to seal. If you're not using a bag with a zipper-lock that requires a special displacement method, put your steak in the corresponding bag and seal it using a vacuum sealer. If you feel like adding aromatics such as thyme or basil to your steak, now is the time to do so.
- Drop it like it's hot. After you have safely sealed your steak, drop the bag into the water and… voila! Sous vide cooking gives you the results that are impossible to achieve with any other method of cooking.
