My original item shipped without a lid, so Saki sent me a whole new teapot. Wonderful customer service, very friendly and helpful and fast. And a gorgeous teapot!

Convenient Teapot
This is a highly functional teapot that I can use for a different type of teas from black to green. The function of being porcelain made the fall in love with the teapot because I believe that you can feel the real taste of the tea only with porcelain tea and if you are coming from the a place with tea culture you know what I mean. Moreover, it is simple to use, fill, pour, and mostly easy to clean. The filter inside of it is stainless steel so my tip is to keep it dry after cleaning to make it last longer. Overall, it is great to purchase for this price!

works great looks nice, very happy with my purchase.

very pleasing shape

this is what i believe is a normal tea pot - it would be fancier if i was using it as a gift. i have a warmer on oven-topwhich keeps tea warm and it does not do harm to the pot.

this is just what I wanted in a tea pot, keeps the tea hot for a long while and is very easy to keep clean, I would by this again

the stated product is great and awesome, this is what I was looking for it.

the Metal filter makes for easy straining and clean up of tea. Pot holds heat for a long time. I've gone back an hour after poring and the tea is still warm enough to enjoy drinking.
S. Portsmouth
nicely designed with well fitting infuser and secured lid. Makes the best tea

first, i want to say the customer service is wonderful. i had a minor concern and they responded very promptly and tried to help me resolve it. they even followed up with me to make sure everything was good. i really can't say enough good things about their customer support, and that really does mean a lot.it is also a really nice looking pot, and is actually no-drip. first time ever i have used a pot that truly does not drip when you pour from it. that is really nice. and the quality of the ceramic is really good.that being said, i find there are serious design flaws in the strainer that make the pot far less than it could be. i don't mind the plastic particularly (not my favorite, but not enough to prompt my review), but the gaps in it allow loose leaf tea to get out into the pot itself if you put in enough water to come even close to filling the pot. it looks like you can only fill it about 2/3 to 3/4 of the way before the tea leaves get into the tea. considering the amount of tea my household goes through, this makes for a lot more work.this is possibly only a problem with certain types of tea, but our main kind is a CRC, so it is small to begin with. if you were using tea bags or larger tea like a green or something, you may not have this problem at all.the strainer also doesn't really have enough holes. you're best bet is to put the water in the pot, up to about 2/3 full, then put the strainer with tea leaves in, wait for it to actually sink, and slowly top it off until the water comes up to the top of the metal part of the strainer. again, a lot of extra work. i tried pouring the water in through the strainer, and it took forever.i also have some issues with the lid. the opening is very large, which makes it easy clean, but once you take the strainer out the lid fits kind of loosely and shifts around a lot while pouring. it doesn't fall out, but i'm always afraid it will. at least it does have the tab on the lid to help hold it in.

When I decided to drink less coffee and more tea, this teapot came very handy. Lid and infuser stay put, don't fall off.

What I like about this teapot is that I can remove the stainless steel infuser, fill the pot with water and run it in the microwave for 5 minutes. The Teapot and the infuser are easy to clean and very stylish.

Well constructed

We use loose leaf teas and have for many years. This is probably the 30th or so pot we have purchased in search of the perfect pour, and a robust filter for the leaves. This hits all our needs, and for the first time ever! Nice

We recently have been interested in drinking tea, and this teapot is perfect for the occasion. Just love it!
Dawn C.
We make a 6 cup pot of tea daily. Pleased that this pot pours well, and keeps tea warm for longer than anticipated. Please note - the pot that arrived is not as represented in the photo (the actual pot is shiny all over, while the picture indicates a pattern of matte and gloss).

We loved this pot so much we bought a second one for our second home. It’s the perfect size for my me and my husband and it’s functional and stylish.
Sharyn Townsley
We like everything about the tea pot!
Judith Branch
We drink more tea than most British people do these days. I periodically order a fortune in tea at either Fortnam’s or my new discovery, a place also in England called Uptons. We take our portable kettle everywhere, and bring tea or buy it.
Pam Reid
Was a gift for my daughter. She loves it!

Very well packed for shipping and arrived promptly. Good quality and generous capacity. Very pleased with this purchase.
ALEXANDRA BILAINE
Very nice teapot. No dripping! Love it

Very heavy duty. Keeps the tea hot much longer, than the glass ones.

This teapot was packaged beautifully. The infuser fits perfectly and is easy to use. Like most people, I now work from home and having a pot of tea by my side is the perfect addition to my day.
Bonnie
This teapot was on my granddaughters wish list, she was so excited when it was a surprise delivery.
Jason Dilly
This tea pot is incredible! To be fair, it’s the first one I’ve ever purchased, but when I was looking for one, I just wanted a simple one without the flowery designs and just sturdy and to the point. This one filled my expectations and even went further with the steeper bucket! I love that thing: It makes brewing a nice strong tea easier than ever.
Mae
This is your favorite old fashioned tea pot, in quality and in size with a bonus of a tea strainer. Strainer is fragile plastic but it works. Dishwasher safe tea pot. It makes up to 6 cups of tea. Just what I was looking for.
Ellie Mae.
This is the best teapot ever. The strainer basket actually allows tea to brew without the tea leaves going into the tea water. The result is clear perfect tea. I found to put orange rinds and mint leaves around the basket on the bottom makes a wonderful tea also.
Kathy. Yachuw
This is so easy to use. The pot is a beautiful piece and makes a great tea. Love it.

This is just as described! I ordered it for a Christmas Tea I was hosting and it worked perfectly!
Nouman Jaferi
This is an excellent teapot. The stainer makes this the best I have used so far, I have used Mikasa, Noritake, Lenox and others. I would really like them to make one that’s 8 cups as well.
M. H
This is a well-made and beautiful teapot which completely transformed how we used to enjoy tea. Big enough to serve more than 6 cups of tea and the candle holder base is well designed to prevent simple blows from turning off the flame. It is totally recommended.
Jank1
This is a well made basic tea pot. It has a stainless basket for loose tea, which I prefer. In spite of the warnings, the metal basket works fine in the microwave so long as the pot is at least half full.
JoeyRN
This is a very pretty, nicely sized teapot. Nice infuser as well; strains the tea beautifully. Would definitely purchase again. Black color looks classy & coordinates with most decor.
nursinfool
This is a sturdy little teapot - it's big enough to make 5 cups of tea at once and easy to clean. I read lots of reviews on several different teapots before choosing this one, and I'm very happy with my purchase.
William H. Gordon
This is a really nice teapot... The lid interlocks with the infuser keeping the pot sealed as the tea steeps. The finish is perfect and glossy making it appear to be much more expensive than it actually is. And the packaging is incredible... I think you could drop the boxed teapot onto a concrete floor from 10-20 feet and it would likely survive. It would make a lovely gift for any tea lover.
R. A. Martinek
This is a highly functional teapot. It's easy to fill, easy to clean, easy to pour, and it holds a reasonable amount of tea. The infuser works reasonably well for both large-leafed and finely cut varieties of tea, but could be improved by more holes in the bottom surface to promote final draining. I don't use it after trying it out because I have a lot of tea balls that work just as well, but it's a decent infuser. The pot does not need the infuser to work perfectly well.
Amazon Customer
This is a great teapot. Its larger than most and the infuser is very convenient. Fast shipping and well packaged. I would definitely buy again.
Ingrid L Warn
This is a great teapot with warmer - I have started using loose tea again and the infuser with this is perfect for that. The teapot also pours well, which is not always the case!!
Brian Arley Lofquist
This is a great little, well not so little teapot. Actually, it is the perfect size for two heavy tea drinkers. It seems very well made, it's nicely finished in solid glossy black, there are no finishing flaws that I can see. It holds the heat very well, the lid fits securely, and also locks under beneath the shoulder so it won't fall forward when pouring. The way they packed it for shipping is top-notch, well thought out, and product-specific. It's an exact foam mold as if it was being cast, then that fits into a well-made box. So if you are worried about it breaking during shipping, don't be.
Patricia
This is a great find! Nice quality. Item as described.
Edward
This black teapot is perfect. It is easy to clean, using it is a breeze, and it retains the heat well.
Pamela Ringler
This arrived so well packed there was no way it could get broken while in route! Thank you!!!
A. You
There is nothing to dislike. The strained insert is a great idea. After years of dumping out damp tea leaves, and cleaning the teapot, this is a dream come true! And yes, I do know tea bags have been around for a while. I'm hard on tea pots...when I have to replace it won't break the bank as it reasonably priced. It's not horrible at dripping...but if I could change the design of would be a longer spout.
Dom Vendetta
The wife loves this tea pot. It holds a little more water that the last one, has a loose leaf infuser, for those that like that over tea bags and it cleans up very easy.
Margaret Cook
The warmer part of the teapot isn’t accommodating the pot correctly. The teapot wobbles on the warmer. Doesn’t feel secure. Unfortunate because that is one of the selling points I liked. I’d do like the pot overall.
The Duke 64
The teapot was exceptional; it was exactly what I was looking for & even the right color.I use it daily, & would highly recommend it to anyone who loves tea.
Saraha Thompson
The teapot is perfect for me. Love that the strainer is not touching any thing but the very top where its held in so the the tea can seep properly. Also keeps it warm for a while.
Linda C.
The teapot is a good size and the infuser is deep, allowing the tea leaves to seep well. Also, well packed to avoid breakage!
Steve
The teapot does not hold 48 liquid ounces. I used a Pyrex measuring cup and measured 40 ounces of water and that's filling it up to the rim.Since the teapot is perfect in every other way, I kept it. I gave four stars because it only holds 40 ounces.
Ms Feathers
The strainer is made from both plastic and metal but only the metal touches the brewing tea. Very easy to use and clean. I enjoy it!
Dave
The perfect size for anytime it’s teatime. Large enough to hold three or four cups but to too big for waste. Love it!
beth collier
The packaging was impressive ~ thick tight foam around each piece . It is simple and elegant . Easy to use , and practical . So pleased with my purchase , perfect as a gift or personal enjoyment.
M. Krumme
The info says this is a 48 ounce teapot. This means it should be able to fill four 12 ounce cups. Unfortunately, I only get three when the pot is full. Maybe if It is filled to the brim it would hold 48 ounces, but then you couldn't add the infuser or tea. Too bad. I have an 8 cup (tea and coffee are measured in 6, not 8 ounce cups) pot that just gives me four 12 ounce cups, so I know what the size should be. It is just getting beat up after decades of use, and the brand is no longer available. I will keep searching Otherwise, the infuser/filter works well and is easy to clean and the pot doesn't dribble which is a good thing. If you are OK with the smaller size then this teapot is fine. Four stars for the quality and price.
Joel
Teapot works well and with a candle or two keeps the tea steaming hot. Does have a warning against direct fire use on the bottom which is odd given that it comes with a candle warmer. It does have a permanent stain beneath the glaze and wobbles a bit sitting on the warmer. Not as stable on the base as I had envisioned.
Elise McKay
Teapot is a great size and pours very nicely, no spilling. Love it.
jeremy ruddock
Teapot arrived early without any damage. Easy to clean, retains heat well, and feels relatively sturdy.
Steven Horneffer
Tea bags rarely get the job done, unless one is willing to use two or three at a time in a preheated cup.. The teapot, when warmed to 200 degrees or so with rapidly boiling water, and supplied with water boiling at 212 or as close thereto as one can get, depending on elevation, and with heaping teaspoons of tea, (I prefer Keemun) 1 per cup and one for the pot, will produce the heavenly, soothing tea that warms one's heart, and soul if one still has one of those. This teapot gets the job done perfectly. It holds the heat well, and pours a stream which, while admittedly not perfect, is within the generally accepted range of performance for appliances not engineered by PhDs in fluid dynamics. The only possession of many high Bodhisattvas; the humble teapot.6 Stars.
Nicole Adrian
Super cute I love it
Edwin
Some of the other reviews have complained about the size of the teapot. It's deceptively voluminous. Every time I start pouring boiling water into it, I think to me myself... "why aren't you full yet."I'm not sure what to say to those people who say they only get 4-6 cups of tea out of this pot. That's a lot of tea.The only downsides are that it doesn't hold heat super well. If you pour yourself tea, then come back in 20 minutes for another cup, don't expect the remaining tea to be hot, expect it to be warm. Also, be careful if you use loose leaf tea. If you overfill the pot during steeping, you may get some tea leaves in your cup .Overall, it's a lovely little tea pot. It's attractive and feels sturdy. I'd definitely recommend this to someone in need of a cute, no frills, teapot and would feel totally comfortable giving one as a gift.

Seems like quality ceramic. The strainer fits perfectly in my iced tea pitcher too. I’m satisfied with the purchase.
John M. Lucas
SAKI 48 oz Teapot - Exactly what I was looking for in a teapot. Excellent size, big easy to hold handle, a fairly fine infuser that doesn't leave your tea full of leaves, and the spout is the right shape for not spilling. Excellent quality ceramic. Minor blemishes in the glazing at the tip of the spout.
Katy Yarotskiy
Purchased this item for my mother and she really loves it, it's just the style she was looking for. Very elegant looking and perfect to have on the table when having guests over. Also very easy to wash!
Benny
Product design, color & quality excellent.

Pro: First, I was impressed by how well protected the teapot was for shipping safely. I very much like the way the strainer basket fits into the teapot. There's an indent in the rim of the teapot. The top of the strainer is plastic, so it's handle fits safely into that indent. The lid has a little an extension that fits through the strainer so that it is secured to the teapot. It pours reasonably well, and it doesn't take long to experiment so that it doesn't drip. Better than 90% of the many teapots I've tried.Con: The hole in the strainer for the handle plus other slits in the plastic top part let some loose tea out into the teapot if the teapot is filled to where the plastic top of the strainer begins. To prevent loose tea getting out, you can only the teapot to about 43 fluid ounces. If you fill the teapot to the rim without the basket, you get just about the 50 ounces of water. Since I like more than 43 ounces to brew at a time, I placed my old metal strainer inside the included strainer. I was able to fill the teapot to about 48 ounces depending on how much loose tea I added without getting tea loose in the pot.Bottom line: I like this teapot a lot. I brew about a gallon a day, especially during the hot months of summer.

Perfect size. Excellent design.....love my new teapot!

Okay, when I said gatherings I meant like quarantine friendly ones. I come from a gongfu background but needed something for visitors. This teapot is huge, easy to pour, doesn't dribble, easy to clean, has no plastic, and retains heat well. It's just a "buy it for life" teapot. I would recommend it.

Nicely boxed. Shipped with great care. Excellent quality. Recommend.

Nice size, with internal strainer good for loose tea. Only reason it didn't get 5 stars is that the strainer has a tab which sticks out on top which looks awkward.
Tom Schell
Nice pot, easy to use and clean. Just the right size, so far have made large tumblers of green gunpowder and lapsang souchong, a real summer treat iced compared to regular teas.
Andrew Hasse
Nice and simple tea pot

My kids have all turned into tea drinkers as well so I needed a pot that could handle 4 people drinking out of it. So happy to find one that holds this much! We fill 4 cups easy and still have some left. The metal strainer is a nice touch too, going to actually try some fresh leaves and let the kids see whats inside the tea bags we use.

My husband loves his new teapot!!

Love this tea pot. I use it quite a lot. Keeps the tea hot for quite a bit too, about an hour or two depending... I live in WI so the weather goes from cold to colder to coldest and back again pretty regularly, so thats a great function. And since its microwave safe i can just pop the whole pot (without the strainer) in the microwave for a few minutes to heat it all up again.
Carrie Sparks
Love this little teapot. It keeps the water warm enough for a couple of cups. I don't use the infuser much but it has worked well.
Marla Zagar
Love the size and the filter makes it so easy to use!
Jean K
Love the fit of the tea leaves basket, smart way with grove for its handle. Holds heat well, but always use a tea cozy anyway. Lid has lip to hold on teapot when pouring.
