Why are my cinnamon rolls not fluffy?

If your cinnamon rolls are not fluffy, you may have added too much flour to the dough. To have fluffy cinnamon rolls, it is important to use fresh yeast and flour, warm milk and egg, and give sufficient time to the dough for perfect leavening.

Can I prepare cinnamon rolls in advance and freeze them before baking?

Absolutely. Cinnamon roll dough is perfect for freezing and baking later. To do so, when you prepare the rolls, cover them with plastic wrap and put them in the freezer before second rise. When you are ready to bake them, remove them from the freezer the night before and let them thaw in the fridge or at room temperature. Once the cinnamon rolls rise, you can bake them. If you thaw them in the fridge, you should let them stay at room temperature the next morning for warming and rising.

  20. While the rolls rests a little, beat the ingredients for icing and spread it over the warm rolls.

  • RECIPE NOTE FOR CINNAMON ROLLS:

Adding heavy cream to the cinnamon rolls right before baking makes the rolls richer and gooier. If you prefer to do so, just warm the heavy cream and pour it over cinnamon rolls just before putting them in the oven.

    HOW TO SERVE CINNAMON ROLLS:

You should serve cinnamon rolls still warm. If you are to serve them for breakfast, warm milk goes great with them. Black tea and coffee also match cinnamon rolls.

    HOW TO STORE CINNAMON ROLLS:

You can store cinnamon rolls in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3-5 days, or in the refrigerator for up to 1 week. It is better to warm them before eating.

You can also freeze cinnamon rolls in plastic wrap. They feel freshly baked when thawed and warmed.
