The taste of chicken breast is so plain per se that eating it often becomes boring at some point. However, marinating the chicken breast with different flavors perfectly alters its taste and yields a fresh pleasure to enjoy. Asian sesame marinade will exactly make so in this recipe. Moreover, it requires only 1 hour to be absorbed by the chicken breast which is almost nothing when compared to usual 4 to 6-hour marinating times needed for some other marinades. Let’s let the recipe talk!

Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breasts, skinless and boneless

  • 1/3 cup soy sauce

  • 2 tablespoons chili garlic sauce

  • 1/3 cup orange juice

  • 2 tablespoons toasted sesame oil

  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic

  • 1 teaspoon ginger paste

  • ½ red onion, cut into chunks

  • Olive oil spray

  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds for garnish

Directions

  1. Cut chicken breasts into 1-inch cubes and put in a large zipper bag.

  2. Add soy sauce, chili garlic sauce, orange juice, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger paste into the zipper bag, zip it and rub the seasoning well onto chicken pieces.

  3. Place the zipper bag in the refrigerator and let the chicken breasts marinate for 1 hour.

  4. After 1 hour, remove the zipper bag with chicken breasts from the refrigerator.

  5. Thread the chicken kebabs and onion chunks alternately onto 8 skewers and mist them with olive oil spray.

  6. Preheat the air fryer by selecting the “Chicken” function and adjusting the timer to 3 minutes. Once you press the “Start/Pause” button, it will start warming up.

  7. Open the air fryer and insert the oil drip tray at the lowest rack of it.

  8. Place two mash racks on next inserts and put the skewers on the racks and close the air fryer.

  9. Set the timer to 25 minutes. Once you press “Start/Pause” button, it will begin grilling.

  10. Cook until the chicken kebabs are golden brown. You should turn the skewers halfway through the cooking.

  11. Open the air fryer and remove the skewers onto a serving platter and let them rest for 10 minutes.

  12. Garnish them with sesame seeds and serve warm.

  13. Enjoy!
