Irish Coffee Recipe

Irish coffee is traditionally made with strong coffee, brown sugar, heavy cream, and Irish whiskey. However, this recipe will use alcohol-free rum extract to make Irish coffee. You can still find an answer to how to make traditional Irish coffee in the recipe notes below and another version of alcohol-free Irish coffee.

  • 1 cup brewed coffee

  • 2 teaspoons brown sugar

  • ¼ teaspoon rum extract

  • ⅓ cup heavy cream

  • 2 teaspoons cocoa powder or grated chocolate for garnish (optional)

  1. Add the coffee into two mugs.

  2. Add sugar and rum extract to the coffee and stir them until the sugar is completely dissolved.

  3. Whip the cream until it is thick.

  4. Once the coffee in the mugs stands still, put whipped cream over them. You can use a spoon to do so if needed.

  5. Garnish the coffee with cocoa powder or grated chocolate if you’d like.

    You can make traditional Irish coffee by substituting rum extract with ¼ cup of Irish whiskey in this recipe.
