Iced Coffee Recipe

Iced coffee is a cold drink made with coffee brewed hot but then chilled or brewed cold. In order to make iced coffee, chilled coffee is poured into a tall glass filled with ice cubes. Then, some milk or milk and cream mixture are added, depending on the preference.

Even if it is prepared with milk and cream, iced coffee is different from iced latte. Iced coffee is usually made with drip coffee, but iced latte is made with espresso, so it is an espresso drink. Iced latte is milkier and creamier than iced latte as well.

Though drip coffee is the most popular coffee to make iced coffee, other coffees like French press, siphon coffee, etc., can also be used to make it. The important thing is that coffee should be brewed stronger by adding more ground coffee per water unit than regular hot coffee because ice cubes dilute it.

Now let’s move on to the recipe below and make a delicious iced coffee at home!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup ice cubes

  • 1 cup coffee, brewed double-strength, at room temperature, chilled or cold brew

  • 2 tablespoons whole-fat milk
