Can I use fresh garlic cloves to make garlic parmesan bread?

Yes, you can use pressed garlic cloves instead of garlic powder. In this recipe, you should use 1 clove of garlic per ½ teaspoon of garlic powder, so 3 cloves for the 2-pound loaf, 4 for the 2½-pound loaf, and 5 for the 3-pound loaf. It might seem too much, but garlic will lose some flavor since we will cook it.

Can I use whole wheat flour instead of white flour?

Yes, but whole wheat flour yields a denser loaf, so you may prefer using 3⁄4 of the white flour in the recipe. You will find the best amount that works perfectly by experience.
