Ingredients
3 cups all-purpose flour
Salt and white pepper to taste
1 ½ cups breadcrumbs
½ teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon paprika
2 eggs
1/3 cup milk
2 pounds small shrimp, peeled and deveined
Olive oil spray
Chopped fresh parsley for garnish
Directions
Preheat the air fryer by setting the temperature to 400°F and timer to 3 minutes. Once you press the “Start/Pause” button, it will start warming up.
Add flour, salt, and white pepper in a bowl and mix them well.
Add breadcrumbs, garlic powder, and paprika in another bowl and mix them, too.
Crack eggs into another bowl, add milk, and whisk well.
Coat shrimps first in flour mixture, then in eggs, and finally in breadcrumbs generously.
Add shrimps to the rotating basket of your air fryer. If your air fryer does not have a rotating basket then put them in a regular air fryer basket or lay them on a tray.
Mist shrimps with olive oil spray.
Open the air fryer, put the shrimps into the air fryer, and close it.
Adjust the timer to 8 minutes and press the “Start/Pause” button to start cooking popcorn shrimp. If the shrimps are in a regular air fryer basket or on a tray, then flip them over by shaking halfway through cooking.
Cook popcorn shrimps until golden brown.
Open the air fryer and transfer the popcorn shrimp to a serving platter.
Garnish with parsley.
